Recommended profile of admission
The entry profile to this doctoral program is aimed at those students who,
meeting the access requirements, have taken and passed the following master's degrees taught
by the Faculties of Education Sciences and Faculties of Teacher Training of the
five participating universities. Among them, some master's degrees will need to be completed with
a complementary training on Educational Research Methodology.
• Master's Degree in Educational Innovation, Guidance and Evaluation from the University of A Coruña.
• Master's Degree in Management, Management and Innovation of School Institutions from the
University of A Coruña.
• Master's Degree in Management, Management and Innovation of School and Socio-educational Institutions
by the University of A Coruña.
• Master's Degree in Research and Innovation in Educational Contexts from the University of
Cantabria.
• Master's Degree in Socio-Educational Intervention and Research from the University of Oviedo.
• Master's Degree in Research and Innovation in Early Childhood and Primary Education from the
University of Oviedo
• Master's Degree in Equality, Physics and Education from the University of Santiago de Compostela.
Compostela
• Master's Degree in Training Processes from the University of Santiago de Compostela.
• Master's Degree in Research in Education, Cultural Diversity and Development
Community from the University of Santiago de Compostela.
• Master's Degree in Management of Educational Activities in Nature from the University of
Santiago de Compostela.
• Master's Degree in Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate Teaching, Training
and Language Teaching.
• Master's Degree in Learning Difficulties and Cognitive Processes from the University of
Vigo.
• Master's Degree in Psychosocio-Educational Research with Adolescents from the University of
Vigo.
• Master's Degree in Specific Educational Support Needs from the University of Vigo.
• Master's Degree in Multidisciplinary Intervention in Diversity in Educational Contexts by
the University of Vigo.
• Master's Degree in Challenge of Cities from the Universities of Vigo, A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela,
Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD); Universidade do Minho; Universidade do Porto.
• Master's Degree for teachers of compulsory secondary education, baccalaureate,
vocational training and language teaching.
• Master's Degree in Research and Innovation in Specific Didactics for Early Childhood Education
and Primary by the University of A Coruña, the University of Santiago de Compostela and the
University of Vigo.
Likewise, in addition to the Official Master's Degrees mentioned in point 1, master's degrees linked to Education Sciences will have preference over those in other areas of knowledge.
Specific access requirements of the CAPD
The CAPD will assess applications for admission to the doctoral programme based on the following criteria:
• Priority for access to the Doctorate will be given to applicants who have a training career
previous undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the field of Education prioritized these candidates according to the
academic record criteria.
• The CAPD may admit candidates whose previous bachelor's or master's degree training is not
nuclearly related to Education provided that the Commission considers that its trajectory
training and/or previous work experience is consistent with the Doctoral Program. These
candidates will also be prioritized by academic record.
• Each university will admit its quota of candidates and, in the event that this quota does not
is filled, the unallocated places may be assigned to candidates from the other
universities following the same criteria 1.
• Candidates from other countries must prove a B2 domain (granted by an institution
official) of the languages set out in this DP report. according to venues.
The prioritisation criteria for the assessment are as follows:
• Previous access qualification in the Bachelor's and Master's degrees: up to 3 points. Priority being given to the
degrees in Educational Sciences (Pedagogy, Psychopedagogy, Social Education, Teaching,
Bachelor's Degree in Pedagogy/Education in School Subject Teaching (up to 2 points). Master's degrees
priority or linked to Education Sciences (up to 1 point)
• Academic record and master's degree if the previous degree is in line with the programme: up to 2
points. Out of the total, the average of the Bachelor's Degree scores up to 0.5 and the average of the Master's Degree up to 1.5
• Previous research experience (up to 0.5 points)
• Research stays (0.25 points)
• Research grants (up to 0.5 points)
• Publications related to the theme of the program (up to 1 point)
• Topic of the doctoral thesis related to the objectives of the programme (up to 0.75 points)
• Professional experience (up to 1 point)
• Questionnaire of candidate's interests and expectations (up to 0.5 points)
• Other: language certificate, courses taught and received, stays abroad (up to 0.5
points)
• Personal interview: an interview will be held with the candidates in the event that
it is convenient or necessary to clarify some information. The interview does not weight.
• Endorsement: applicants may support their candidacy with a report from a doctor of the
program, indicating: (i) the potential viability of the future thesis within the framework of a line of
research of the program and (ii) that he or she can act as a director in case of meeting the
necessary requirements for this. The endorsement does not weight.
To be admitted to the doctoral programme, a minimum score of 4 points must be achieved.
