Master's Degree in Internet of Things - IoT

2024/2025 · 60 credits

Introduction

The Master's Degree in IoT (MUIoT) provides the necessary knowledge to design, configure, integrate and maintain systems for the digital interconnection of objects and people that operate autonomously and intelligently, generating useful information for decision-making.

The Master's program delves into areas related to IoT, such as embedded systems and IoT devices, IoT architectures, wireless communications technologies, network protocols, cybersecurity, cloud computing, processing and analysis of massive data, programming and Artificial Intelligence.

Students of the Master's program can choose among three specializations:

  • Industrial IoT (IIoT): This specialization covers aspects such as Smart Factories, Industry 4.0/5.0 or sustainability in IoT (Green IoT).
  • Society 5.0: This specialization explores various application domains of the so-called Society 5.0, such as the use of IoT systems for health, for smart cities and for smart buildings and homes.
  • Connected Vehicle: This specialization addresses all aspects related to the use of IoT systems for connected vehicles. Specifically, it covers the application of IoT fundamentals to connected cars, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and intelligent transportation systems (ITS).
