Candidates matching one of the general entry requirements for PhD students will be assessed in accordance with the specific criteria and merits for each programme. Information relating to application procedures and requirements are included in the programme structure for each course.
The decision to offer a student a place on a UDC PhD programme is the result of an application-specific evaluation process, and does not affect the academic or professional status of the candidate’s existing qualifications.

It must be stressed that the ideal entry profile for most of this PhD program research lines corresponds to the Master in Information Technologies of the USC, the Master in Computer Engineering of the UDC, and the Master in High Performance Computing, although because of the peculiarities of each line, the other masters could properly fit. In addition, students with an Advanced Studies Diplomma (DEA) obtained through the PhD program in Information Technologies of the USC and UDC can enter this PhD program without complements.

Specific access requirements of the CAPD
Students will be able to apply for admission in the PhD program in the established pre-enrollment period. Such application will be made through the Virtual Student Office, and the related documentation will be delivered through the UADI of the Faculty of Computer Science.
Once such period has finished, the CAPD will publish the provisional listing of admitted students and its corresponding list of waiting students in the PhD program website in the portal of studies of the UDC.
No admitted applicants will be able to present a claim in the term and form established in the corresponding announcement in the UADI of the Faculty of Computer Science. Once the claims period has ended and the claims have been resolved, the final relation of students admitted will be made public and it will be submitted to the corresponding organ in charge of the students management, so that they are able to formalise their enrollment in the associated period.
The applications for part time enrollment, change of enrollment modality and temporary leave in the PhD program will have to be presented in the UADI of the Faculty of Computer Science.
Deadlines
The application for admission (or registration renewal) and enrollment in PhD studies will be carried out according to the terms approved by the Governing Council of the UDC.
