The PhD program in Research in Information Technologies is an official university title that tackles the advanced training in research techniques in the field of information technologies. It has the collaboration of the Centro de Supercomputación de Galicia (Galician Supercomputing Center, CESGA) and Coremain S.L.U. The program aims to provide a training that allows the student a clear understanding of a field, such as that of the information technologies, which is considerably complex and dynamic, and enable her for the exercise of a research activity in the domain of her competency.

Information technologies are a basic instrument to generate wealth and better conditions of life, constituting one of the fundamental fronts of progress of our society. These technologies are in constant evolution, with which the research and the innovation in them are fundamental to keep competitiveness, being the graduates of this program particularly well suited to develop these tasks.
