This concurrent programme of study has been designed to provide students with a solid grounding in business management, together with an extensive and in-depth insight – including theoretical knowledge and practical know-how – of the tourism sector, which plays a key role in the generation of employment, wellbeing and wealth not only in Galicia, but also in Spain and the rest of the world. On completion of this programme, students will have been trained not only in business management aimed at overcoming operational, tactical and strategic challenges, but will also have acquired multi-disciplinary and transversal skills. The programme covers a wide range of areas, including economics, law and business management, as well as languages, information and communication technologies, travel and transport, the hospitality industry, cultural heritage and resource and destination management. The business environment and tourism in particular are becoming increasingly multicultural, and students will be provided with the opportunity of obtaining an international vision of an innovative sector immersed in a process of constant change, obtained not only in the classroom, but also through international student mobility programmes and an extensive programme of work placements in private and public institutions and companies in Spain and abroad.
Students will benefit from the opportunity to study at two centres: the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies and Faculty of Tourism both with a highly-qualified teaching staff of proven experience.
