This new Doctorate Program is organized by the University of A Coruña with the collaboration of professors from the Complutense University of Madrid. The Program is directed towards research, development and innovation (R+D+i) in three large thematic areas: Documentation Sciences, Communication Sciences and the Humanities.
The contribution of the Internet and developments in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are especially taken into account in the Doctoral Program, which affect the perspectives of the three major thematic fields of the Program. In turn, for doctoral students who wish to specialize in a series of research lines of the Program, it is possible to carry out stays at the Research Center for Philosophy of Science and Technology, within the Industrial Campus, located in Ferrol.

Main objective: The preparation of the Doctoral Thesis
Students can achieve the necessary capabilities, both methodological and procedural techniques, to make possible the completion, presentation and defense of a Doctoral Thesis in which the acquisition of new knowledge (basic, applied or effective application) is reflected. in one or more of the thematic areas presented: Documentation Sciences (Information Science), Communication Sciences or the Humanities (mainly, Philosophy and History).
