The Master's Degree in Social Policies and Socio-Community Intervention (MOPS) was implemented in the 2016-2017 academic year and renewed its accreditation in 2020. This degree is aimed at training professionals who are experts in social policies, social exclusion and social and community intervention, capable of planning and intervening in the social problems and challenges of the 21st century.
The Master's Degree is focused on the broad group of graduates mainly from the fields of Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Social Education and Social Work, while it is also of interest to graduates from other disciplines, mainly in the field of Social and Legal Sciences.
The Master's Degree lasts two academic years. In the first year, specialised training is offered in social policies, processes of exclusion and socio-community intervention with subjects of theoretical-practical and methodological content. In the second year, students must choose a specialty: Migrations, Gender, or Aging and Family Transformations. The training process culminates with the completion of the internship and the Master's Degree Final Project (TFM).

The Master's Degree in Social Policies and Socio-Community Intervention offers the possibility of being taken in person or remotely.
In addition, three specialties are offered: International Migrations; Gender and Equality Policies; and Longevity, Quality of Life and Intergenerational Relationships.
The main objective is to provide specialized and quality training for people who will develop their skills as experts in the analysis and evaluation of social policies, but also in social action and intervention, both from the professional and research fields. Consequently, they will be able to critically analyse social policies, have in-depth knowledge of the administration and management of social services, intervene in the community for its development, faithfully evaluate social services and provide social care to people in a comprehensive manner.
The specific objectives are:
- To provide students with theoretical and methodological tools for research in Social Sciences for the study of the processes of exclusion and inequality in today's society.
- Develop theoretical and practical knowledge on the analysis of the social well-being of populations, as well as the design of policies that improve it.
- Master the analysis, both quantitative and qualitative, of reality and social problems, which allows the definition of indicators for the evaluation of any program or project related to the public or social sphere.
- To deepen the knowledge of social needs and social action and intervention, with special reference to current phenomena, such as immigration, ethnic minorities, gender violence, family and sociodemographic transformations, etc.
