Access

Students who meet some of the criteria listed in Article 4 of the UDC PhD Policies and Regulations will be able to access to UDC PhD programmes.

Applications

Candidates matching one of the general entry requirements for PhD students will be assessed in accordance with the specific criteria and merits for each programme. Information relating to application procedures and requirements are included in the programme structure for each course.

The decision to offer a student a place on a UDC PhD programme is the result of an application-specific evaluation process, and does not affect the academic or professional status of the candidate’s existing qualifications.

Recommended profile of admission

The Interuniversity Doctoral Programme in Logic and Philosophy of Science is designed with the aim of fundamentally meeting the demand of current university graduates who wish to receive additional specialisation or research training and who have completed a Master's Degree related to the field of Logic and Philosophy of Science. students from foreign university systems who wish to pursue Doctoral Studies in our country, and professionals with university degrees who decide to update their knowledge and skills or modify their profile. Our students are expected to be from the following degrees:

‐ Graduates in Philosophy (graduates who have completed a master's degree related to the DP or Doctors who wish to change their profile).

‐ Graduates in the area of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science (Graduates or Doctors who have completed a Master's degree related to the DP).

‐ Graduates in the area of Social Sciences and Philologies (Graduates or Doctors who have completed a Master's degree related to the DP).

It is necessary for the researcher in training to be able to correctly read philosophical and scientific texts at least in Spanish and English.

Specific access requirements of the CAPD

In general, access requests are made through the UDC website, through the student's Virtual Secretary's Office. The supporting documentation is delivered to the UADI of Esteiro (Calle Dr. Vázquez Cabrera, s/n; 15403-Ferrol, A Coruña).

The CAPD will publish the provisional and final lists of admitted candidates in the places provided for this purpose.

When you wish to make a claim from the list of admitted students, the letter must be sent to the aforementioned UADI, in a text addressed to the Coordinator of the Doctoral Programme.

To apply for part-time enrolment, as well as to change the enrolment modality or possible temporary withdrawal, you must write to the UADI of Esteiro (Calle Dr. Vázquez Cabrera, s/n; 15403-Ferrol, A Coruña). The text must be addressed to the Coordinator of the Doctoral Programme.

Deadlines

The application for admission (or registration renewal) and enrollment in PhD studies will be carried out according to the terms approved by the Governing Council of the UDC.
