Access

Students who meet some of the criteria listed in Article 4 of the UDC PhD Policies and Regulations will be able to access to UDC PhD programmes.

Applications

Candidates matching one of the general entry requirements for PhD students will be assessed in accordance with the specific criteria and merits for each programme. Information relating to application procedures and requirements are included in the programme structure for each course.

The decision to offer a student a place on a UDC PhD programme is the result of an application-specific evaluation process, and does not affect the academic or professional status of the candidate’s existing qualifications.

Recommended profile of admission

The recommended entry profile is that of a student who holds a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, a Master's Degree in the field of civil engineering or an equivalent qualification within the framework of the European Higher Education Area. A student in possession of a degree in Civil Engineering who is in a position to access the doctoral programme, in accordance with current legislation, is also considered as a recommended entry profile. In all cases, the student must show an interest in research in the field of civil engineering, in any of the fields that are specific to it.

Specific access requirements of the CAPD

The application for admission will be made through the student's Virtual Secretary and the supporting documentation will be delivered to the UADI (Departmental and Research Support Unit) of the centre. The Academic Committee will publish the provisional and final lists of admitted students on the doctoral programme website on the UDC studies portal. Complaints to the provisional list will be addressed to the centre's UADI. The application for part-time enrolment, change of enrolment modality and temporary withdrawal from the programme must be submitted to the centre's UADI.

Deadlines

The application for admission (or registration renewal) and enrollment in PhD studies will be carried out according to the terms approved by the Governing Council of the UDC.
