The degree in Economics taught at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of A Coruña provides students with solid education to understand the performance of the general economic system. The studies are mainly oriented to the economic analysis of the general and business reality and the development of policies that contribute to the improvement of the standard of living of society as a whole
The study program combines basic, compulsory and optional subjects until reaching 240 ECTS in the areas of instrumental techniques (mathematics, statistics, econometrics, etc.), economic education (micro and macroeconomic theory, economic structure, economic policy, economic history, industrial economy, markets, economic spaces, Public Finance and taxation, etc.), legal and social education (law, sociology, etc.) and business education (business economics). The study program includes internships in companies and a final degree project.
Finally, in an international context, students who have a level of English (B1) may voluntarily take 50% of the degree credits in English.
