The doctoral programme in Health and Human Motricity is an official university degree that addresses different areas of knowledge, with special interest in training related to health sciences, physical activity sciences and their relationships.
The institutional strategies in the field of R+D+i that universities must implement must have as a priority objective that of raising the quality, innovation and possibilities of dissemination of scientific production. The training framework must be such that it is at the service of promoting flexibility, autonomy and official recognition of the work of doctoral students, as well as of future research projects.

The purpose of the Interuniversity Doctoral Programme in Health and Human Motricity is to train and specialise in research techniques related to both Health and Human Motricity. In accordance with these perspectives, the programme integrates a multidisciplinary team of experts and professionals from the fields of health sciences and physical activity, and is aimed at students of socio-health degrees and physical activity sciences. This programme is not only developed in the context of the Galician University System (SUG), as the universities of León and Extremadura are involved in addition to the University of A Coruña.
