Introduction

Current biotechnology includes a very sophisticated group of techniques and technologies that are substituting to the classical methodologies favouring results more immediate and allowing new unthinkable challenges until now. Nowadays, it is necessary highly qualified professionals to be able to face the new challenges in the business and researcher fields. The aim of this Master is double:

• To Professionalize: To form students that pretends to devote professionally in the biotechnological industry and/or update the knowledge and improve the training of the already devoted professionals to this activity.
• Academic-Researcher: To form students that pretends to incorporate in scientific centres of investigation in biotechnology.

Why study

Spain has produced in the last years a big increase of the effort devoted to the investigation in biotechnology, what has allowed the generation of knowledge and the acquisition of experience, until the point to having favoured the creation of biotechnology based companies in the sector of food, environment and health. Biotechnology in Spain is not a potentiality but a reality that affects to multiple aspects of our life and our economy.

The future development of the biotechnology like a scientific, technological and industrial activity requires the incorporation of professionals with a solid scientific training and with knowledge of the business world and of its socioeconomic surroundings.

The present proposal of master in his double orientation: professional and academic researcher tries to answer to the aim to offer training of quality for the future professional of the biotechnology. By this reason, if you are interested in the exciting world of the Biotechnology in any one of its facets, this master will provide you a solid base to confront you to the professional world and/or academic-researcher.
