Master in Chemistry Research and Industrial Chemistry

Introduction

The Master in Chemical Research and Industrial Chemistry is an interuniversity study and is taught at the universities of Santiago de Compostela (USC, coordinator), A Coruña (UDC) and Vigo (UVI), with the collaboration of the College of Chemistry, Galicia. This Master includes a research orientation (five profiles) and professionalizing orientation, and its duration is one year (60 ECTS). Its main aim is to provide students with skills to get a solid training of quality in advanced chemistry and chemical and biological instrumental techniques that allow them to confront research or professional skills in relevant issues of science and chemical technology.

Why study

The aims of this Master Degree are:

• Train professionals capable of competing in areas as dynamic as chemistry, medicinal chemistry, biomedicine, production of new materials, environmental studies and control, quality analysis, plant and bio-health research, renewable energies and others.

• Provide specialized and advanced training that will be, primarily in instrumental techniques that will be useful to apply with a greater advantage for jobs in the public and private sectors.

• Be an on-going training instrument for professionals in several areas of Chemistry.

• Provide advanced theoretical and experimental training that will enable graduates to start a doctoral thesis in several areas of Chemistry.
