The University Master’s in Science, Technology and Environmental Management offers advanced and inter-disciplinary training of specialists with skills in the areas of the environment and chemistry through specialisation in two paths which the student can choose depending on his or her interest, objectives and previous training The two paths offered by the Master’s span an enormous economic and working market with great demand for qualified specialists and job opportunities geared towards improving the productive sector, the protection of the environment and health and the continuous training of professionals amongst others. The specialisation obtained in the Master’s improves the graduate’s professional skills. All students who complete the Master’s must do a job at the end which lasts 3 months, including the mandatory practicals with applied focus of a research or professional nature. In the case of the research focus, this is developed under the supervision of a researcher belonging to an accredited research group and will be used as initiation to research for those students who wish to continue with a doctorate. The work at the end of the Master’s with a professional focus is done in a company or public institution where the student can apply the concepts and skills which he or she has learned in an actual professional environment. The Master’s pays particular attention to the professional emphasis and provides collaborative agreements to carry out external practicals with numerous companies and public bodies of various fields, which means the students, are given a wide offer of professional practices.
