All engineering degrees share a similar training system that promotes the sustenance of specific knowledge over a solid basic training. This is perhaps one of the fundamental differences between engineering and intermediate studies (vocational training). For this reason, among the own contents there are basic subjects that occupy the first years and specific or specific to the degree, which are common to any engineering of those studied at the Polytechnic School of Engineering of Ferrol, making it easier for students to move from one degree to another without any problem.
With the Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology Engineering you will be able to choose areas of specialisation, without giving up a generalist training.
At the beginning of the degree, the scientific and technical basis common to engineering is studied, then the knowledge of the industrial branch is taught and finally, the optional subjects are taken that cover diverse knowledge (robotics, smart industry, nuclear technology, energy planning, construction of industrial plants and energy systems, among others).
The scientific-technological revolution in which we are immersed means an increase in the demand for engineers.
The socio-economic characteristics of Galicia, which has an important business and industrial fabric, means that the demand for engineers is constant.
This facilitates the insertion of our graduates, who have 100 % employability.
This degree allows you to work in all sectors of industry (logistics, automotive, metallurgy, mechanics, aerospace, energy, automation, maintenance, etc.), as well as in research and teaching. Among the many activities they will be able to carry out are:
The School has more than 200 agreements signed with companies from all industrial sectors. Every year, companies are added to the list, which facilitate the incorporation of graduates into the company, as well as the possibility of carrying out internships during their academic stage. Below is a list of the most relevant companies:
The Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology Engineering consists of a total of 240 ECTS credits, distributed in four courses of 60 credits each (corresponding to 10 subjects per year, divided into two semesters) with the exception of the Final Degree Project (last subject to be taken) which has a teaching load of 12 credits.
This degree has compulsory and optional subjects. During the first three years, compulsory subjects are taken, in the fourth year there is an elective that allows students to choose the subjects that they consider most related to their interests. Within this elective there are 54 credits (9 subjects) from which you will have to choose 30 credits (5 subjects) to finish your studies and finally the Final Degree Project which has 12 credits.
The electives are as follows:Computer Aided Mechanical Design, Pressure Vessel Design and Simulation, Industrial Intelligent IIoT, Industrial Plant Construction and Energy Systems, External Internships, Nuclear Technology, Industrial Robotics, Industrial Process Simulation and Optimization and Energy Planning
The degrees are organized by courses. Click on a academic year for more information.

By now, the study does not have departments responsible for teaching.
UDC holds student mobility agreements with universities and other third-level institutions across four continents. Students are offered several opportunities each year to apply to study abroad in one of these centres (for a single term or for a whole year), with the guarantee that all credits obtained will be duly recognised in their academic record upon their return.
For each round of applications, the University publishes the list of exchange options available to students and, where relevant, the specific conditions associated with each. Students may also apply to the University for funding for international work experience placements and internships.
Work experience placements are accredited in the student's academic record and the European diploma supplement. Students are free to decide in which host company or academic institution within the EHEA they wish to carry out their placement. To assist them in their search, the University has created an online noticeboard with jobs postings and other news.
Work-study placements in A Coruña are arranged by the International Relations Office (ORI) of the UDC in collaboration with the international relations coordinators in the student’s home university. The general entry criteria, rights and obligations of students, and admission and acceptance procedures for the programme, are regulated by the UDC Mobility Policy.
