Access

Students who meet some of the criteria listed in Article 15 of the UDC PhD Policies and Regulations will be able to access to UDC PhD programmes.

Applications

Candidates matching one of the general entry requirements for PhD students will be assessed in accordance with the specific criteria and merits for each programme. Information relating to application procedures and requirements are included in the programme structure for each course.

The decision to offer a student a place on a UDC PhD programme is the result of an application-specific evaluation process, and does not affect the academic or professional status of the candidate’s existing qualifications.

Recommended profile of admission

As a general access requirement some of the cases cited in the Article 6 RD 99/2011 or its second additional disposal must be met in any case.

No specific access requirement exists for students from Masters with topics related to the Doctoral Program:

  • "Física Aplicada" UVigo-UDC

  • "Fotónica" UPC-UAB-UB-ICFO
  • "Tecnologías Ópticas y de la Imagen" UCM
  • "Física y Tecnologías de los Láseres" USAL

Specific access requirements of the CAPD

Application for the PhD program must be submitted through the V irtual Student Secretariat of UDC. Supporting documentation must be presented at the UADI of the Escuela Politécnica Superior Ferrol.

All applications will be revised and evaluated by the Academic Committee according to:

  • Academic Records (65%)
  • Curriculum Vitae (20%)
  • Personal Interview (15%)

The Committee will make public the provisional ranked lists of accepted applicants. A ranked waiting list will also be published.

Claims should be submitted to the UADI de la Escuela Politécnica Superior

Applications for part-time enrollment or withdrawal from the program must be submitted to the same UADI.

Deadlines

The application for admission (or registration renewal) and enrollment in PhD studies will be carried out according to the terms approved by the Governing Council of the UDC.
