Access

Students who meet some of the criteria listed in Article 4 of the UDC PhD Policies and Regulations will be able to access to UDC PhD programmes.

Applications

Candidates matching one of the general entry requirements for PhD students will be assessed in accordance with the specific criteria and merits for each programme. Information relating to application procedures and requirements are included in the programme structure for each course.

The decision to offer a student a place on a UDC PhD programme is the result of an application-specific evaluation process, and does not affect the academic or professional status of the candidate’s existing qualifications.

Recommended profile of admission

Master's degrees in "Agricultural Engineering", "Forestry Engineering", "Science, Technology and Environmental Management", "Advanced Biotechnology", "Water Engineering", "Juana da Vega Landscape Architecture". Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) obtained in previous doctoral programs.

Students with non-homologated degrees obtained abroad may apply for admission to the doctoral programme as long as they prove equivalent to that of the official Spanish university master's degree. Admission by this means will not imply in any case the homologation of the degree issued in another country or its recognition for other purposes.

Specific access requirements of the CAPD

The application for admission will be made through the student's Virtual Secretary and the supporting documentation will be delivered to the UADI of the Faculty of Sciences.

The CAPD will publish the provisional and final lists of admitted students on the website of the doctoral programme on the UDC studies portal.

Claims to the provisional list will be addressed to the UADI of the Faculty of Sciences.

The application for part-time enrollment, change of enrollment modality and temporary withdrawal from the program must be submitted to the UADI of the Faculty of Sciences.

Deadlines

The application for admission (or registration renewal) and enrollment in PhD studies will be carried out according to the terms approved by the Governing Council of the UDC.
