Candidates matching one of the general entry requirements for PhD students will be assessed in accordance with the specific criteria and merits for each programme. Information relating to application procedures and requirements are included in the programme structure for each course.
The decision to offer a student a place on a UDC PhD programme is the result of an application-specific evaluation process, and does not affect the academic or professional status of the candidate’s existing qualifications.

Recommended profile of admission
Priority for access to the Doctorate will be given to applicants who have a previous undergraduate and postgraduate training career in the field of Education, prioritizing these candidates according to the academic record.
The CAPD may admit candidates whose previous bachelor's or master's degree training is not nuclearly related to Education provided that the Commission considers that their training trajectory and/or previous work experience is consistent with the Programme. These candidates will also be prioritized by academic record.
Each university will admit its quota of candidates and, in the event that this quota is not filled, the unallocated places may be assigned to candidates from the other universities.
Priority will be given to those who have completed the following master's degrees (in parentheses it is specified whether they will have to take complementary training):
1) Master's Degree in Innovation, Guidance and Educational Evaluation from the University of A Coruña (no).
2) Master's Degree in Teacher Training for ESO, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching from the universities of A Coruña, Cantabria, Oviedo, Santiago de Compostela and Vigo (si).
3) Master's Degree in Research and Innovation in Educational Contexts from the University of Cantabria (no)
4) Master's Degree in Socio-Educational Intervention and Research from the University of Oviedo (no)
5) Master's Degree in Education, Gender and Equality from the University of Santiago de Compostela (no)
6) Master's Degree in Training Processes from the University of Santiago de Compostela (no)
7) Master's Degree in Research in Education, Cultural Diversity and Community Development from the University of Santiago de Compostela (no)
8) Master's Degree in Management of Educational Activities in Nature from the University of Santiago de Compostela (no)
9) Master's Degree in Learning Difficulties and Cognitive Processes from the University of Vigo (no)
10) Master's Degree in Psychosocio-educational Research with Adolescents from the University of Vigo (no)

Application general procedure
Applications and registration for PhD programmes will be made using the online application system on the UDC website, accompanied by all necessary supporting documents. Applications and registration for external students will be made here.

Specific access requirements of the CAPD
The application for admission will be made through the Virtual Secretary of the student and the supporting documentation will be delivered to the UADI of the Faculty of Education Sciences.
The CAPD will publish the provisional and final lists of admitted students on the website of the doctoral programme on the UDC studies portal.
Claims to the provisional list will be delivered to the UADI of the Faculty of Education Sciences.
The application for part-time enrollment, change of enrollment modality and temporary withdrawal from the program must be submitted to the UADI of the Faculty of Education Sciences.
Deadlines
The application for admission (or registration renewal) and enrollment in PhD studies will be carried out according to the terms approved by the Governing Council of the UDC.
