PhD in Energy and Marine Propulsion

Students who meet some of the criteria listed in Article 15 of the UDC PhD Policies and Regulations will be able to access to UDC PhD programmes.

Candidates matching one of the general entry requirements for PhD students will be assessed in accordance with the specific criteria and merits for each programme. Information relating to application procedures and requirements are included in the programme structure for each course.

The decision to offer a student a place on a UDC PhD programme is the result of an application-specific evaluation process, and does not affect the academic or professional status of the candidate’s existing qualifications.

Recommended profile of admission

Tendrán admisión preferente los estudiantes en posesión de los títulos oficiales de que permitan el acceso al doctorado según la normativa vigente, del ámbito tecnológico o con contenidos afines a la Energía y Propulsión Marina. En particular, el perfil de ingreso recomendado recoge una serie de competencias adquiridas previamente como son:

• 1. Regular, controlar, diagnosticar y supervisar sistemas, procesos y máquinas para la toma de decisiones en conducción y operación.
• 2. Capacidad para realizartareas de análisis y síntesis de problemas teórico-prácticos mediante fundamentos físico-matemático.
• 3. Capacidad para detectar necesidades de mejora en sistemas energéticos
• 4. Utilizar las herramientas básicas de las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones (TIC).

Dichas competencias están recogidas por diversos estudios de Master oficial de ámbito tecnológico, como es el caso del Master en Ingeniería Marina

Specific access requirements of the CAPD

La solicitud de admisión se realizará a través de la Secretaría Virtual del estudiante y la documentación justificativa se entregará en la UADI (Unidad de Apoyo a Departamentos e Investigación) del centro. La Comisión Académica publicará los listados provisional y definitivo del alumnado admitido en la web del programa de doctorado en el portal de estudios de la UDC. Las reclamaciones al listado provisional se dirigirán a la UADI del centro. La solicitud de matrícula a tiempo parcial, cambio de modalidad de matrícula y baja temporal en el programa deberán presentarse en la UADI del centro.
