Access

Students who meet some of the criteria listed in Article 15 of the UDC PhD Policies and Regulations will be able to access to UDC PhD programmes.

Applications

Candidates matching one of the general entry requirements for PhD students will be assessed in accordance with the specific criteria and merits for each programme. Information relating to application procedures and requirements are included in the programme structure for each course.

The decision to offer a student a place on a UDC PhD programme is the result of an application-specific evaluation process, and does not affect the academic or professional status of the candidate’s existing qualifications.

Recommended profile of admission

People with the degree of Architect (title in extinction), Graduated in Architecture (title in extinction), or Graduate in Studies in Architecture and Master in Architecture.

Exceptionally, doctoral students with other degrees related to architecture will be admitted, according to the Academic Commission. For this, the academic curriculum and researcher of the applicants will be analyzed in each case.

Specific access requirements of the CAPD

Admission and enrollment in the Doctorate Program will be done according to the regulations established for this purpose by the University of Coruña. The access requirements will be those indicated in the aforementioned regulations and, in addition to the documentation required by the University of Coruña, the student must present the following documentation:

  • Curriculum vitae.
  • Motivation letter, in which the student must explain the reasons why he wants to enroll in this PhD program, and indicate the topic in which he would like to do his doctoral thesis (specifying the research line he would like to join and Proposing a teacher of the program as tutor).

Deadlines

The application for admission (or registration renewal) and enrollment in PhD studies will be carried out according to the terms approved by the Governing Council of the UDC.
