PhD in Applied Physics

Introduction

The program of doctorate in Physics Applied is an official university title framed in the field of the sciences applied and oriented therefore to diverse appearances of the science and the technology. It is an interuniversity program between the University of Vigo (university coordinator) and the University of A Coruña.

The aim that pursues this program is to endow of the necessary capacities to our students so that to the realisation of his thesis doctoral purchase the knowledges that allow them carry out projects of investigation and/or to his incorporation to the industrial world.

Why study

The global society is immersed in a continuous and fast technological evolution, what algúnos already proposed like a new historical acceleration, technological and social. The Physics, and in particular the Physics Applied, supposes a link that can avoid what was designated like technological gap, allowing us establish contact between the natural phenomena and the technological “phenomena” and applied. This will favour the development of companies related with the new materials and the environment as for example the polymers, the new carburantes and refrigerantes, the ionic liquids, the contaminantes physical, meteorological appearances and/or oceanic related with environment, etc.

This is an interuniversity study, in addition to University of A Coruña, the following universities also colaborate in teaching:
