Access

Students who meet some of the criteria listed in Article 15 of the UDC PhD Policies and Regulations will be able to access to UDC PhD programmes.

Applications

Candidates matching one of the general entry requirements for PhD students will be assessed in accordance with the specific criteria and merits for each programme. Information relating to application procedures and requirements are included in the programme structure for each course.

The decision to offer a student a place on a UDC PhD programme is the result of an application-specific evaluation process, and does not affect the academic or professional status of the candidate’s existing qualifications.

Recommended profile of admission

p>The Program has a completely multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary orientation. Therefore, there are several recommended profiles. Given that the program encompasses the entire scope of Cultural Heritage protection, profiles that range from the field of Arts and Humanities (History, History of Art, Archeology, Humanities, Restoration, etc.), Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Biology, Paleontology, etc.) and Engineering and Architecture (Architects, Civil Engineers, etc.).

To establish a list of admitted students in the Program, the following particularities will be taken into account in the profiles of the candidates:

  • - Be in possession of a Master's degree in a subject related to Cultural Heritage. Note obtained in the Master and Subject of the Master's Final Project..
  • - Be in possession of a Bachelor's degree that is related to the specified profiles. Average grade obtained in the Degree and subject of the Final Degree Project.
  • - Professional experience in the area of Cultural Heritage.
  • - Experience in participation or collaboration in Cultural Heritage projects.

Specific access requirements of the CAPD

The admission application will be made through the student's Virtual Secretariat and the supporting documentation will be delivered to the UADI of the Faculty of Sciences of the UDC.

In accordance with the selection criteria established in the Programme (https://patrimonio.webs.uvigo.es/es/acceso-y-admision/), the CAPD will publish the provisional and definitive lists of the students admitted to the Programme. These lists will be published on the web page of the doctoral programme on the UDC studies portal.

Claims to the provisional list shall be addressed to the UADI of the Faculty of Sciences.

Applications for part-time enrollment, or changes in enrollment modality and temporary withdrawal from the program must be submitted to the Center's UADI.

Deadlines

The application for admission (or registration renewal) and enrollment in PhD studies will be carried out according to the terms approved by the Governing Council of the UDC.
